The new
detached
building was provided a new underground electric service consisting
of primary service to a padmount transformer and secondary service
into the building terminating in a main distribution panel. A dry
type transformer was provided to serve several low voltage
panelboards. Power was provided for all of the HVAC equipment and all
of the owner furnished equipment. General lighting and controls were
provided along with exit and emergency lighting. Both the fire alarm
and intercom systems were extended from the new systems in the
existing building.
Based on the
selection of energy efficient lighting fixtures and controls
installed the school was able to obtain a rebate from the serving
electric utility company energy conservation program.
